Working deals
Tasks
Type or dictate a task in plain language. Priority and due date are lifted out of the phrase; you do not fill in fields.
Adding one
The add row takes a whole sentence. Say or type “urgent — send Beacon the ROI model by Friday” and the parser lifts the urgency into a priority and Friday into a due date and strips the filler. Priorities are high, medium and low; a phrase that states no urgency becomes medium. The task is created straight away rather than shown for approval first, and if the sentence cannot be parsed it is saved as the title verbatim, so nothing is lost.
Dictation
The mic beside the field transcribes live, with a level meter so you can see it is hearing you. If speech recognition is unavailable in your browser, or the mic is blocked, an amber note says so rather than the button quietly doing nothing.
Active, Overdue, Completed
Counts are derived, not stored. Due labels are computed per row — overdue, Today, Tomorrow or a date — and the row checkbox toggles done in place. Each tab has its own empty state.
The task editor
A row opens view mode; the edit switch swaps in title, due date, assignee with their role, priority chips and a description. Cancel reverts everything from a snapshot. The checklist ticks in both modes but writes differently: in view mode a tick saves immediately, in edit mode it stays local until Save — otherwise Cancel would discard some of your edits and keep others. Progress reads “n of m” over a bar that turns green at 100%.
Marvin's button here breaks the task down: with no steps it suggests a checklist, with steps it suggests the next one. It does not draft an email — that lives on the deal.
