Getting started

Roles, visibility & admin

Three independent axes. The role says what someone does, the region says what they can see, and the admin grant says what they may configure.

Roles

AEThe primary role and the default everywhere a role is picked. Owns opportunities and the forecast. The Reports leaderboard ranks whoever owns deals, so anyone carrying an opportunity appears on it.
SESame deals, read-only, plus the technical surfaces: SE status, usage health, relationship maps.
ManagerOwns one or more regions or sub-regions and sees everything under them.
Head of SalesSingular — one per workspace, usually the CRO. Any region or sub-region left without a manager rolls up to them. Assignable only from a member record; assigning it demotes the incumbent to Manager, and they cannot be removed while territories still roll up to them.
Read onlySees the app, changes nothing.

Admin is a grant, not a role

Administrator is a separate toggle on the member record, shown as its own pill next to the sales role. An AE can administer the workspace; the Head of Sales need not. Admins get App Settings — members, CRM connections, email, calls, tasks, sync, billing, external data and custom fields — and nothing about the sales role changes.

Visibility

Visibility comes from the region tag, and it is hierarchical: someone tagged to West sees West · California too. An empty tag means global visibility. See Regions & sub-regions.
